Early May 2008, the format of the feeds delivered by weather.com and used by WeatherDock has been changed. Along with some technical changes the available information has changed as well.

Forecast Information is now restricted to a maximum of 5 days, therefore WeatherDock can only display those five days.

To make the application consistent with this change, the 6-10th forecast has been removed, as well as the functionality to toggle between 5 and 10 forecasts.

This was true shortly in version 2.4.5, but quickly fixed in Weatherdock 2.4.6

The correct way to display the wind direction, is to display the direction the wind is coming from. For example when WeatherDock displays a wind direction NE, this means the wind is coming from the North-East, when so the arrow (optionally in the icon) will be pointed to the South-West visualizing the actual direction.

Probably not, this information isn't available in the information supplied directly from weather.com®, plus this is a typical piece of information that will only advantage United States cities, not to offend Americans, but I would like this application to be as broad as possible and allow the whole world to enjoy the same features where possible. Unfortunately the 'Featured on weather.com®' links have to be displayed for licensing reasons and will not work outside the U.S.

No, WeatherDock is closely build to weather.com information there it would technically be a great difference and a lot of effort to make this work.

Because the Finder remembers information about applications it won't always pick up this change in WeatherDock. Try the following to make your Dock icon hide correctly:

• Make sure the Dock icoon 'should' be hidden, by pressing the 'hide dock icon' button in the display tab of the WeatherDock preferences, if it says 'show dock icon' then you're already set.
• Then quit WeatherDock
• Locate WeatherDock in the Finder
• Drag-n-Drop it to an other folder
• Drag-n-Drop it back to where you want it to be.
• Start it again.

This occurs the first time WeatherDock 2.3 or higher is launched, after a restart this problem will be resolved.

When working without a Dock Icon, it can be confusing to quit WeatherDock. If you have the menu item enabled, you can select quit from popup menu that appears when clicking on the current condition icon. If you have the Desktop icon enabled, you can control-click on the icon and select open WeatherDock from the popup menu, when the WeatherDock main window opens, press command-Q to quit the application. If the Desktop Icon disappears when your mouse enters its region you should hold the control-key while entering the icon's region.
